What is IAP psychometric testing?
IAP stands for Interest, Aptitude, and Personality — a structured assessment that evaluates all three together, rather than just an aptitude score in isolation. It's the starting point for both stream selection and long-term profile building, since it tells us what a student is genuinely suited to before we plan around it.
Is IAP testing the same as a regular aptitude test?
No. A standard aptitude test measures one dimension — usually cognitive or subject aptitude. IAP testing measures interest, aptitude, and personality together, because a career choice that scores well on aptitude alone but fights a student's actual interests or working style tends to fail in practice.
What grade should a student take the IAP test in?
Most commonly right after Class 10, before stream selection, and again around Class 11–12 for students refining a career direction ahead of college applications. It's also the entry point for our Profile Building program starting Class 9.
